Houston, TX - 1 May 2019 - Forland Geophysical Services, LLC (FGS), an independent US based company specializing in seismic imaging under complex near-surface conditions, has successfully completed a large 3D near-surface imaging project over 10,000 sq km in foothills of Tarim Basin.  The tasks include artificial intelligent (AI) first-break picking, statics and velocity model estimation using turning-ray or diving-wave tomography.  Turning-ray tomography at FGS is independent of initial velocity models and performs efficiently with OpenMP and MPI parallel computing.
